Crypt Custodian Launches Today

Crypt Custodian, the top-down metroidvania about a cat janitor in the underworld, launches today! Finally, it can move from my wishlist to my backlog! I’ve written about this game a few times before. I played the demo earlier this year that won me over with its clever and humorous dialogue, atmospheric setting, and engaging combat mechanics. I still think Pluto, the cat protagonist, will become an iconic indie character for years to come. I mean look at him.

I am very excited to explore more of this world, talk to more characters, and see what other abilities and enemies I will encounter in the full release of Crypt Custodian. The game is out now on all platforms (no seriously, it’s out on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC) and it’s been getting great reviews from what I’ve seen. I will let you know when I finally get around to reviewing it myself.
