Cassette Beasts Multiplayer Update

Cassette Beasts developer Bytten Studio shared several exciting updates in their recent showcase, but perhaps the most exciting is an update to the previously promised multiplayer expansion. Cassette Beasts will officially become multiplayer on May 20th, allowing up to eight players to explore New Wirral together, battling, trading, and raiding to their heart’s content. I look forward to trying to convince seven of my friends to join me.

Aside from that, Cassette Beasts also got a free update on the day of the Showcase that includes several new beasts to find and collect. Watch the full showcase here:

Cassette Beasts will also be collaborating with fellow creature-collecting game Moonstone Island. An easy win since both games are under the same publisher, Raw Fury. Players can dress their character in the same clothes as the Moonstone Island protagonist once the multiplayer update launches in May.

Cassette Beasts was also recently nominated at the BAFTA Game Awards and I’m glad this underrated gem of a game is getting more recognition. I will continue my playthrough and eventually get around to writing a review, but for now, just know that my recommendation is to check this game out.
