Children of the Sun Will Launch in April
If you tried any demos during Steam’s Next Fest last month, you might have come across Children of the Sun from developer René Rother and publisher Devolver Digital. Otherwise, you might have read about it in my article talking about my favorite demos from the fest. That demo is still available, but it won’t be all that’s available for long. Children of the Sun will launch on April 9th.
Children of the Sun is a puzzle shooter where the protagonist is out for revenge against a dangerous cult. With only one bullet in the chamber, the player must take out groups of enemies. Thankfully, you also have telekinetic powers that can change the direction of the bullet after each hit, plus more abilities that reveal themselves as you progress.
Since this game was only revealed to the world when the demo launched in February, it is somewhat of a shock to have the release date so soon. Games take years to make, and many developers prefer to build up a year or two of hype before finally launching their game. To go from announcement to launch in a matter of months is exciting, to say the least.
Will you be looking forward to playing Children of the Sun when it launches on April 9th? Have you tried the demo? Leave a comment letting me know your thoughts!
